Welcome to the 2009–2010 school year!
Revere Middle School is a 2009 T.E.A. Recognized
School. Our students performed well in all areas: 93% in Reading, 91% in Social
Studies, 89% in Reading, 81% in Math, and 86% in Science.
This year our school theme is We Still Believe! Our priorities
are stronger student performance in Math and Science and high levels
of commended performance in every academic area.
We have many fun and supportive
activities planned for our students this year. We are continuing PSP! PSP stands
for the Patriot Success Period and it is our in-school tutorials program. It
is a block of time during the school day when students can get extra help on
math, science, social studies, and reading.
We always reward good performance.
The Privilege Pass (bright blue) and student Celebration Pep Rallies are among
the many ways we acknowledge high student achievement. Students who do well
in class on both their grades and conduct are rewarded with a Privilege Pass.
The pass allows students to wear jeans on Friday, attend some of the school
dances and games at a reduced rate, and eat in designated privileged areas.
We are hoping that your son or daughter becomes a Privilege Pass student.
Parents, we invite you to help us make great things happen this year. We have high expectations. We are all about student achievement! We expect all students to go to college and we work hard to prepare them early. We expect students to do rigorous class work and make good grades. We not only expect students to pass the TAKS, but we want commended performance! We expect students to follow school rules and respect all adults on campus. We are here to help students be successful.
Please know that Revere is a safe campus where the focus is on learning. We care about your students and know that you have placed them in capable hands. We have one purpose: to ensure high levels of learning for every student. We are asking for your support as we make this year a successful one.
Patriot Pride!
Mrs. Anastasia (Lindo) Anderson
